Urban Archangels photography series by Jean-Paul Lefret.
Amidst Ho Chi Minh City’s omnipresent traffic, the archangel wears an Ao Dai, the traditional Vietnamese outfit which is normally colorful and flowery but here is made of camouflage fabric. The heart of the archangel floating like a balloon above her hand is a grenade. Two symbols of all the horror of thirty-year war which produced a generation of eager young consumers inspired by the American model.
