Urban Archangels photography series by Jean-Paul Lefret.
The Apache archangel, the soul of Cochise, bears a turquoise heart reminding us of bison carcasses shriveling in the sun in 1880, on the plains of Arizona, announcing the end of the Indian people. Today on these plains, thousands of US army aircraft carcasses litter the desert, the “Aircraft boneyard”. These sacred lands, the extinct bison and these vestiges of millions of dollars glinting in the sun, demonstrate man’s blindness to his own condition.
